This Privacy Policy explains how DetailOS ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the DetailOS Grader tool ("Grader") at this domain.

Information we collect

Business search data: the business name, city, and state you enter, and the corresponding public Google Business Profile data (ratings, reviews, hours, photos, categories) we retrieve to generate your report.
Contact information: the email address (required) and phone number (optional) you provide to unlock your full report.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, and basic usage analytics, used for fraud/rate-limit protection and service improvement.

How we use your information

To generate and deliver your Online Health Score report.
To send you the report and related follow-up emails (see our email nurture schedule below). You can unsubscribe from these at any time.
If you provide a phone number, a DetailOS team member may call you regarding your report and a possible product demo.
To improve our scoring methodology and, in aggregate/anonymized form, for industry research and content (e.g. "State of Detailing" reports).

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to generate your report and communicate with you. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data on our behalf:

Google Places API / Google Maps: business data, ratings, reviews, and photos are sourced from Google and displayed per Google's Places API attribution requirements.
Google PageSpeed Insights: website performance analysis.
OpenAI: AI-assisted review sentiment and website content analysis.
Email delivery: transactional and nurture email delivery.
Google reCAPTCHA: bot/spam protection.
Screenshot provider: website screenshots shown in your report.

Data retention

We retain scan and lead records to maintain your report permalink, support re-scans, and for the purposes described above. You may request deletion of your personal information (email/phone) at any time by contacting us — the underlying business/scan data may be retained in de-identified form.
